Imagine having such a nice, relaxing walk outdoors, taking in the beauty of nature, smelling the fresh air… until you see a bag of dog poo. Hanging from a tree. What would you do? Talk about a mood dampener. In Chapel Hill, there seems to be bags of dog poo bags hanging from trees or lying around in random places.
A local complained about the increasing number of dog poo bags around the suburb. He said that at first he thought was just a one-time thing, but after weeks, he would see two to three bags of dog poo just casually lying around.
The Brisbane City Council strictly implements that pet owners clean up after their pets in public places. Proper disposal of their pets’ excrement is very crucial. In fact, a fine of $252 will be charged for irresponsible pet owners who fail to observe this rule.
The council also has proactive patrols on all council parks in order respond to complaints such as this one.
Have you been seeing bags of dog poo lately around the neighbourhood? If you do, make sure to report it here.
